When Was the Last Time You Cleaned Your Phone?

Let’s be honest—your phone is probably disgusting.

You touch it constantly, bring it everywhere (including the bathroom), and then set it down on your kitchen counter, your desk, your bed. And if you’ve never wiped it down or sanitized it, it’s likely the dirtiest object you own. That’s not just gross—it’s unhealthy.

And that’s just the outside. Inside, it’s a mess too—junk apps, old photos, endless notifications, forgotten subscriptions. It adds up fast.

But hygiene isn’t the only issue. When’s the last time you gave your phone a proper digital cleanup?

Don’t try to do it all at once. Go category by category—one hour, one focus. That’s the trick.

  • Delete what you don’t use.

  • Unsubscribe from what you don’t need.

  • Turn off notifications that just stress you out.

You’ll save time, clear your head, maybe even save some money. Forgotten subscriptions pile up—$5 here, $10 there.

Once that’s done, wipe it down. Grab a microfiber cloth and some 70% isopropyl alcohol. Clean the screen, case, buttons—everything.

That “new phone” feeling? You don’t have to buy it. Just take care of the one you’ve got. It’ll last a lot longer.

One Last Challenge:

Keep only your most-used apps on the home screen. Everything else? Hide it in folders or the app library.

Simple. Focused. Clean.

It’s a small shift, but it makes a difference—especially if you’ve been feeling glued to your phone.

Set a timer. One hour.
